The 1st Defense Wildland Jacket is constructed with fabric that is certified to the current edition of NFPA® 1977, meeting RPP Rating of 10 and THL of 500, for wildland firefighting. The jacket front has a chest pocket with flap and radio pocket and flap that is angled for ease of use, and a dual microphone tabs below each shoulder, a stand-up collar with throat extension, action back pleats for increased shoulder mobility and double pleated elbows for increased mobility.

This garment meets or exceeds CAL-OSHA Title 8-Section 3406 and is UL® Certified to meet requirements of NFPA® 1977 Standard on Protective Clothing and Equipment for Wildland Fire Fighting, 2016 edition, and is produced in a facility that is ISO 9001:2015 certified to meet the current CAL Fire specification.
